Description
Liquid Web is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our team! If you're passionate about maintaining financial accuracy and thrive in a dynamic environment, this role could be for you. The GL Accountant's expertise is instrumental in managing our books, ensuring compliance, and providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position with a salary of up to $85K annually.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, including adjusting entries and financial statements
- Quarterly balance sheet and P&L Fluctuation Analysis
- Monthly expense variance analysis
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
- Manage Fixed Assets
- Reconcile balance sheets
- Property, sales and use tax and franchise tax returns
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording of transactions and resolve any discrepancies
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or commensurate experience
- 5 years proven general ledger accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- HRIS systems and payroll processing
- Strong proficiency with Excel and databases
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Team player but the ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization
